 +===== Micro-accelerometer MDO benchmark problem =====
 +
+The zip file [[http://se.wtb.tue.nl/~pascal/MicroAccelerometer/accelerometer.zip|accelerometer.zip]] contains the Matlab implementation
+of the micro-accelerometer MDO benchmark problem as described in the paper ([[http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s00158-009-0422-0|open access]]):
 +<code>
 +S. Tosserams, L.F.P. Etman, J.E. Rooda,
 +A micro-accelerometer MDO benchmark problem
 +Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization,
 +published under open access: DOI 10.1007/s00158-009-0422-0 .

+We appreciate that publications describing work using this software
 +quote the reference given above.
 +
+The main file is the file ''accelerometer_aao.m''. Running the main file
+carries out 10 optimization runs starting from randomized starting points
+and plots the best design found.
 +
+To run the files you need the ''fmincon'' constrained minimizer from the
+Matlab optimization toolbox. The Matlab implementation was developed
+and tested for Matlab release R14.
 +
+The micro-accelerometer benchmark may be used as an 'all-in-one'
+test problem for (mixed-integer) nonlinear contrained optimization
+algorithms, but has been primarily developed with the intention to serve
+as a benchmark for multidisciplinary or distributed design optimization
 +methods.
 +
+The Matlab files were developed by Simon Tosserams in 2008
+(s.tosserams@tue.nl). The files are made available under the
